Home Improvement Project

Five years after moving into our home we finally decided to finish our kitchen the way we wanted! We put up crown molding around the tops of our cabinets and trim around the bottoms of the cabinets. It looks great and, if we say so ourselves, it turned out quite well!!


We had thought about hiring the gentleman that did the trim in Kevin's office since he would be able to have it finished in about an hour. But then we realized, for just a little bit more, we could do it ourselves and have a miter saw for future projects. So off to Home Depot we went, bought the trim, stain, polyurethane, miter saw and we went to town! It was quite fun since we both love to work with wood. The funny part is wrapping your head around crown molding, angles, cuts etc. Man, we really had to check and double check ourselves before each cut to keep from screwing up!!
Next, crown molding in the dining room and probably the bedroom too.
