PreSchool Orientation!
We proudly got our little boy dressed and ready to head to Eagle Crest Elementary this morning for a "Meet and Greet" to introduce him to his new PreSchool teacher: Mrs. Loos. It was a pretty proud moment for us as we lead him down the hallway of the school and entered the brightly decorated classroom where he will be meeting so many new friends. Our little chatterbox however, chose this very moment to become shy!!! He barely said three words to Mrs Loos: Jadeyn, four and probably a yes or a no mixed in!!!! What a turkey. The teacher is going to be great!!! She got him settled in with a coloring project while she showed us the ropes. Can I say that this is was the BEST coloring job Jadeyn has ever done??!?!? He actually colored each body part of the astronaut a different color and tried to stay in the lines! And to top it all off, he didn't "destroy" it afterward with bombs an missiles represented by scribbling all over the whole thing. All of his pictures at home end up scribbled all over as he lovingly draws a dinosaur or something then blows it up!!! Maybe there is hope after all!!
So he starts officially on Monday. He and Mai, our neighbor who will be in the same class with him, will get to walk together! We are so excited!!!
First Day Of School
I was so proud of my sweet little boy. He was excited for PreSchool and took to it perfectly. He didn't have any problem at all leaving us pretty much saying: I got this mom! Kevin and I walked him to school and entered with all the other kids and parents. He went to work right away with the other kids playing at the tables. He let us take a few pictures of him and then he was on his own!!!
When I picked him up a few hours later he asked: Mom do I get to go to
school again? When I told him yes, he said Sweet!! I think he liked
it!!!
