Four days of fun and we never left town! (or I guess we left town, we just weren't camping). We decided that its too crazy in Colorado to try and camp on Memorial Day weekend so we decided to have a stay-cation and enjoy our new home.
We sanded/stained and finished our new kitchen nook table and it looks awesome!! We had it made out of Knotty Cherrywood and we are so excited to get chairs for it so we can start using it!
Shawn and Stephanie came over with their kids and Steph's brother, Chris. Fun times talking, catching up, philosophizing, and watching the kids wear each other out. The trees behind Jadeyn's playground have completely leafed out and created the perfect fort for them to explore and disappear in. We of course had to let 'em get soaked in the fountain! That was more than an hour of fun for them when they figured out how to squirt it at each other! Then they got to warm up in the hot tub and get soaked some more. With just three of them in there, I think we still lost a few inches of water!
After dinner of peanut Thai chicken shish kabobs and trout that we caught yesterday, it was time for a campfire. We lit the tiki torches and roasted marshmallows over the campfire!
