One last fishing trip!

We went out for one last fishing trip before winter arrives. We decided not to can't because the weather was only supposed to get to 50 degrees, so we went to Flatirons Reservoir for the day. Not bad fishing, but the trout were all pretty small. No bother, we had a blast anyway. Jadeyn and I occupied ourselves in the rocks,m dirt, leaves, mud etc while Kevin fished.

Jadeyn even got to keep up his tradition on napping by the side of the lake again. I can't think of much more adorable than that. While he napped, we read by the lake. Perfect.
When we were packing up to leave, we both must have turned our backs for just a moment and heard Jadeyn scream. Oh dear: he was about five feet out in the lake in water up to his knees but drenched head to toe!!! He had done so well for five hours, then just as were are ready to go home, what does he do?! He had gone in after a leaf, tripped, faceplanted in the water but hopped back up so fast! Once we got his coat and pants off he was as happy as a clam again!!
Fun day!
