Well, we couldn't wait to hit the trail again so we loaded up, left 70 degree weather and wind in Longmont, drove 50 minute to a place above Nederlands, and unloaded to 39 degrees and wind!!! We made a day of it (a short day, but a day alright!!). The snow from last week was still pretty deep but nice and slushy!! We sprayed up so much slush and water and dirt that we were all speckled with mud freckles. Jadeyn's funny quote of the day was when he waved his hands and the water spray hitting him and yelling, "Go 'way water!!!" And wouldn't you know it, Jadeyn once again fell completely asleep even with all the water spray that kept hitting him. One more funny Jadeyn said was on the way home and the weather got so much warmer, he said, "The good wedder fighting off the bad wedder. Now good wedder coming in!"
